We’re through our first week back at school, and it’s been great to see familiar faces and meet our newest Gators. We are starting the year with a complete PTA Board filled with knowledgeable and energized parent volunteers, as well as a new principal and staff representative, Cayla Reilley.

If you have not yet filled out the Back-to-School Information form, please take a moment to do this. Without completing this form, you will miss messages from your class Room Parents, school-wide event details, opportunities to buy Gator Gear and the yearbook, and more.

Please also consider buying a PTA membership this year. If you have purchased one in the past, you do need to repurchase each year to keep your membership active. Buying a PTA membership allows us to keep our PTA in good standing and qualify for grants and opportunities offered by the state and national PTA.

We are very close to confirming our events calendar for the year, and will communicate that to everyone as soon as possible. Look forward to kicking things off with our traditional BINGO Night soon!

It’s been another great year as Decatur Gators, and we hope everyone is looking forward to a fun and relaxing summer. The PTA will be preparing for a new school year by transitioning the new board and reflecting on how we can continue to serve the needs of our school best.

We have a couple of reminders for families as we head into break.

We would like to invite everyone to two summer playdates, located at the Decatur playground in June and August. Join us to catch up, meet new families, and enjoy a treat from the PTA!

June Playdate: Sunday, June 28 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
August Playdate: Sunday, August 23 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

Additionally, for all who want to get a jump on back-to-school supply shopping, supply lists are now posted on the Decatur district website, here.
