The Decatur PTA is committed to supporting the mission and vision of our school. Our fundraising efforts have provided a wide range of enriching academic experiences and opportunities for students, as well as community-building events and activities. Below are just some of the ways the PTA has helped teachers, staff, students, and families.
- Fund instrumental music for fourth and fifth grade students
- Fund additional learning support staff beyond what is provided by the district
- Organize school-wide cultural events, including celebrations of Diwali, Chinese New Year, and Purim
- Host Science Night where students can display presentations and parents and staff are invited to share their science expertise through presentations or demonstrations
- Fund an enrichment drama program for all grade levels
- Fund or lower the cost of class field trips
- Reimburse teachers for needed classroom supplies and resources
