The Growing Gators Campaign is On Now!

Our fundraising goal for this school year is $60,000. Thank you to everyone who kicked off our annual fund campaign in December with their donations! We raised about $22,000 toward our goal.

Now is the time to make your donation toward this year’s programs. The Decatur PTA says “Yes” – to teacher and staff needs, to enrichment opportunities for all students, to subsidizing field trip expenses and more. Help us follow through on the “Yes” by meeting our fundraising goal this year.

With your support this year, your Decatur PTA funds:

  • Staff positions, including playground supervision and an interventionist that facilitates differentiated learning across the school and lowers our student-to-teacher ratio.
  • Learning essentials, including classroom supplies, curriculum materials, our vegetable garden and the flexibility to meet new teacher and staff requests as they arise.
  • Enrichment beyond the classroom, including field trips (from Mount Rainier National Park, Nature Bridge, Roosevelt Jazz Concert) and in-school opportunities like Burke Museum, Seattle JazzED, Pacific Science Center and Science Magic programs and assemblies.
  • Community events like our treasured Diwali, Hanukkah, Lunar New Year and Dance Party occurring throughout the school year, where we celebrate cultural diversity and build connections.
  • Staff appreciation opportunities, and more.

Consider a $350 gift per student. If each Decatur family gave at this level, we would reach our goal. Please know families can participate at whatever donation amount works for them. Donations at every level strengthen our school and community.
