Our Goal
The Decatur PTA “Growing Gators” runs from October 16th through 29th to support a better learning environment for our students and teachers . This is our only direct giving campaign during this school year and the suggested donation amount is $400 per student.
We ask for 100% of our families to participate and show your support for our school. You can participate by completing our pledge form regardless of your donation.
What does the PTA fund?
Your donations will help to fund essential programs for the 2023-2024 school year, including:
- Salary support for staff including: an instrumental music teacher, librarian, recess aids, and an instructional aide to provide additional classroom support where needed, particularly for larger or mixed-grade classes.
- Classroom grants for our teachers to use throughout the year for enrichment projects
- Instructional reading books
- Drama/Arts/Garden Programs
- Community events such as assemblies, all school and grade-level special events and recognition
How do I participate?
Green envelopes will be sent home with students on October 16th. Please visit us online to make your donation or indicate your participation before October 29th. It is important to complete all contact and student information so that we may record each family’s participation. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes for donations of $250 or more, but please reach out if needed for a smaller amount.
Decatur PTA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 82-0726731), and all donations are tax deductible.
